1. Prepare before you share
Before you send a private document to ChatGPT, prepare a text copy with ShareWise. Review what is hidden on your computer, then decide whether to share that copy with your chosen AI. If useful, bring the answer back and restore matching details locally.
2. Offline on Windows
ShareWise works offline on Windows. It never uploads your documents for processing. Open Word, PowerPoint, Excel worksheets, text PDFs, text files or Markdown, or paste text. Detected private details become consistent placeholders. The text detector recorded 98 percent token recall in a synthetic benchmark. Results vary by document.
3. Printed scans, now included
Need to work from a scan? Optional Smart OCR can read printed scanned or mixed PDFs, plus PNG, JPEG and multipage TIFF images. Recognition runs on your computer. ShareWise prepares text for review; it does not change the source image.
4. Check every OCR page
For each OCR page, compare the source image with the editable recognized text and correct mistakes before privacy analysis. This check is required even in Minimal mode. Choose automatic language selection or a subset of English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Dutch.
5. Room for larger documents
For larger jobs, paged PDFs and images can be up to 200 pages, 512 mebibytes and two million characters. Other supported files retain smaller bounds. ShareWise reports incomplete or failed work instead of quietly approving it for export.
6. Simple or detailed review
Minimal keeps standard inputs quick. For scanned files, it pauses for the OCR check. Advanced gives you an aligned text comparison, batch work and controls to keep or hide suggestions. Review unhighlighted text too before sharing.
7. Your local decisions
Add exact confidential terms you want hidden. ShareWise can also remember your deliberate keep and hide choices locally, so repeated decisions take less work. It does not learn from untouched suggestions. You can disable or clear this memory.
8. Restore only if useful
After sharing reviewed text with an AI service of your choice, you can optionally restore matching placeholders with a private restoration file. Keep that file on your computer. It contains original values and is not encrypted.
9. Your sharing decision
ShareWise helps you prepare, but cannot guarantee that every sensitive detail was found. You remain responsible for deciding what can be shared. Ask ALPINNO about current availability and licensing.

ShareWise is a portable Windows x64 application. It prepares extracted text from common files, printed pages and text you paste into the app.

For paged PDFs and images, the limits are 512 MiB, 200 pages and two million characters. Other supported files retain the 25 MiB and 200,000-character limits; XLSX has additional workbook bounds. Prepared text can be saved as TXT or Markdown, and restored text can also be saved as RTF.
Smart OCR is optional. It supports printed pages in English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Dutch, with automatic language selection or a chosen subset. Document text is not translated.
Privacy on your terms
ShareWise does not transmit your files to ALPINNO.
The application prepares documents and restores text locally. It has no telemetry, automatic model download or online processing step. You choose whether to take reviewed text to ChatGPT or another AI service.
That external service has its own data handling terms. You remain responsible for checking the complete text and deciding whether sharing it meets your confidentiality, legal and organisational obligations.
Keep private support files private.
The optional restoration file contains original values and is not encrypted. Never upload it with the prepared text. Optional correction memory stores your chosen terms locally, also without encryption; you can disable or clear it in Settings.

Can I use ShareWise completely offline?
Yes. Document preparation, Smart OCR and optional restoration work on a disconnected Windows computer. Using ChatGPT or another online AI service is a separate step you choose to take.
Can ShareWise read scanned documents?
Yes, for printed scanned or mixed PDFs and PNG, JPEG or multipage TIFF images with optional Smart OCR. You must compare each OCR page with its recognized text before privacy analysis. Handwriting, signatures and images embedded inside Office files are outside scope.
Does ShareWise upload my document to ChatGPT?
No. ShareWise does not automatically send your document or prepared text to an AI service. You review the output and decide what to share.
Does ALPINNO receive my documents?
No. ShareWise does not send document content, restoration files or usage telemetry to ALPINNO. Information you choose to provide through the ALPINNO website or a support request is separate from the application.
Will it find every private detail?
No. Review the entire extracted and prepared text, including content that was not highlighted. The 98% benchmark figure does not predict what may be missed in your document. You decide whether the reviewed text is suitable to share.
